Actaris Quantometer MZ Turbine Gas Meter

The Actaris MZ meters are flow meters. The gas flow spins the turbine wheel, and therefore the turbine’s rotational speed is proportional to the linear velocity of the gas. The motion is mechanically transmitted through a magnetic coupling to the totaliser. MZ meters are designed for the measurement of natural gas and other non-corrosive and filtered gases. We use low or medium or high pressure to measure low to medium or high flow. We were specifically designed for industrial use and secondary measurement.

The ability to fit various options, such as the oil pump or the PTFE coating model, also makes them ideal for use in heavy duty measurements. The MZ meter consists of five main parts: a body part consisting of all components, a flow straightener for stabilizing and accelerating the flow before the turbine wheel, a measuring unit including the turbine wheel, a magnetic coupling for transmitting the turbine wheel to the totaliser, and a totalizer for recording the measured energy. The turbine wheel is the most important component of the meter to achieve high accuracy at low and high pressure. It can be made in aluminum for the whole range or in polyacetal for the DN200. The blade of the turbine wheel shall be set at 45 ° or 60 ° depending on the peak flow rate.

The 60 ° turbine wheel is used to stop the over-speed of the rotor. The wheel must be made of aluminum when the HF is requested. The aluminum wheel is recommended for use at high pressure or for the calculation of dirty gases.The LF transmitter consists of 2 dry reed switches, which are normally opened and operated by a magnet located in the first drum of the totaliser. There is no polarity in the relationship with the LF.  It consists of an open, usually closed reed shift. The link will be made possible by magnetic manipulation attempts. The electrical properties of the LF transmitter are the same. These are inductive sensors that are operated by a toothed disk. The rate is the C-proportional instantaneous flow. The polarity of the connections is shown on the name plate of the meter.
